San Diego Correctional Facility
The San Diego Correctional Facility, also known as the Otay Detention Facility, 〔http://m.ice.gov/detention-facilities/facilities/ccasdca.htm〕 is a minimum / medium security federal prison for men, managed by Corrections Corporation of America under contract with the United States Marshals Service and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.〔http://cca.com/facilities/san-diego-correctional-facility#〕
The facility is situated in the foothills of Otay Mesa overlooking the Mexican border. The Otay Mesa site is shared with four other properties related to law enforcement:〔http://clui.org/ludb/site/otay-mesa-prison-area〕
* California's Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility
* the George Bailey County Detention facility
* the East Mesa Detention facility, operated by the City of San Diego
* and a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement firearms training complex used by the FBI, the Customs Service, and local police forces
